| What are your qualifications to train dogs? After graduating from California State University Northridge, I joined Guide Dogs of America in Sylmar where I trained to become a guide dog instructor. After three years of training, I was licensed by the State of California. At GDA I spent several years training dogs to assist visually-impaired people who came to Southern California from all over North America. Through GDA's 28-day residency program I worked closely with students and their new Guide Dogs helping them learn to travel safely and independently as a team. In 2003 I set up my own personal dog training business. I am currently a Professional Member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers, an organization promoting the humane treatment of dogs and the continuing education of its members. I live with dogs, love dogs, and train dogs. I want to help you love your dog as much as I do mine. If for any reason I am unable to help you, I will do my best to refer you to someone who can.
